majority of the people who visit our space are not “spa
goers”
and they often have many
questions (and fears)
that have prevented them from delving into
the world of “spa” before now.
We
don’t want you to miss out on our very
real,
down to earth experience… Let us help by clarifying a few things…
ARRIVAL TIME:
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment
in order to prepare to relax and ensure the full time
for your service. Arriving late will deprive you of
precious minutes from your salon and/or spa treatment(s).
Your appointment will end as scheduled in order that
the next guest is not delayed and may require the removal
of certain portions of the service in order to maintain
the respect for the following client.
PARKING: We
offer free parking just outside the Spa doors on Grand
Street. You may park anywhere on both sides of the street! As of Oct. 2004, white lines were painted on Grand St to control traffic flow.
You may park in these white painted areas as well. Out of courtesy for our neighbors, please do not park beside the small section of yellow line on the West side of Grand, or on 4th ave where "no parking" signs exist.
ATMOSPHERE: In consideration of other clients and in order to maintain
our sense of solitude please turn off pagers and cell
phones and refrain from smoking. Remember …many
people come for a once in a lifetime experience!
PAYMENT OPTIONS: For your convenience we offer several methods of payment:
Interac, Visa MasterCard & American Express: (as
of October 2003 we are unable under any circumstances
to accept cheques)
RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS: Your appointment time is reserved just for you. In the
event that you are unable to attend your appointment,
please notify with us within 24 hours to avoid being
charged for the scheduled service. Services cancelled
with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of
the total service cost.
LENGTHY APPOINTMENTS: Groups of two or more people and appointments over 2
hours must be secured with a credit card, gift certificate
or cash pre-payment and require 48 hours cancellation
notice to avoid a late cancellation charge of 50% of
the total service cost.
CHILDREN: Our space is a retreat for many parents who have decided
to take a deserved break from their families in order
that they may go home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
As a courtesy to others and for your enjoyment, we ask
that you leave small children at home during your appointment.
GRATUITIES: Gratuities may be offered at your discretion in recognition
of excellent service. Gratuities are given directly
to the professional(s) involved in your service(s).
Gratuities are not included in Gift Certificates.
SPA CUISINE/ FRESH BAKED
TREATS: We are pleased to announce the
new addition of locally fresh
baked treats to be included in the “Refreshment
Tray” with all of our Spa Packages. You may add
a Refreshment Tray to any salon or spa service for a
fee of $5 or a Spa Lunch for a fee of $15 per person.
Please advise us of your interest when booking.
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING: To ensure your privacy, all of our Estheticians are
fully trained in professional draping techniques. Undergarments
are not necessary however we invite you to wear what
you like to ensure your personal level of comfort. For
foot services with nail polish, please wear an open
toe shoe to ensure thorough polish drying.
PRIVACY: At Mackie Naturals we are committed to protecting your
privacy. As of January 2004, we were required (as were
all Canadian businesses) to be compliant with the changes
to the Federal Privacy Legislation. This means that
the information you give us is always kept in strict
confidence and is for use within Mackie Naturals only.
Our procedures and staff training place great emphasis
on privacy and we are proud of the systems that are
in place.
