Communities in Bloom honored us with some fabulous recognition for our gardening efforts! Thank-you for selecting us for the Best Commercial Garden award!  We have spent 'many a days' trying to figure out what to do with our yard & we are thrilled that our efforts to Xeriscape (no irrigation or hand watering necessary -- yay finally!) were noticed!

A huge thanks to Nikki (owner of Happy Place Garden Services) We wouldn't have our yard looking half as nice without her help!

Mackie Naturals supports "The Franchise" (Local Junior Hip Hop Team) as they represent Canada at the World Championships -- they finished 10th overall!

It was fun to be part of the team preparations as each member had funky green extensions applied to their hair!

While we have always been passionate about the "green" choices we make in our business and have always cared about making choices that are both sustainable (for you & the environment!), we have been "ramping" things up lately!

Our new Green Spa certification means that everything from the paper we print on to our recycling & composting programs have been reviewed & meet the Green Spa Certification standards.

Over the next year, you will be seeing continued changes as we commit to doing even more to reduce our environmental impact while keeping it exciting for you.

As an example, we are in the process of transitioning our lighting to LED over the next year. 

We are very proud of these decisions and hope to inspire other local businesses to do the same!   These changes are possible because of the incredible support we have from people like you--  Thank-you!

Character For Life Children's Documentary Series

We opened our doors to be filmed in a children's documentary!

"Robbie, Keith & the Mackie stars,

You are all pros over there working in a fabulous location. It's a great atmosphere to walk into & I'd say it's all due to your collective vision, professionalism, genuine kindheartedness & grounded character.
It was a pleasure to spend those hours with you all, playing the "beautician in training" for half a day, (not that I'm really fond of that term in describing myself, but .....  From the chocolate mask to my less hairy leg, it was a blast. If all our shoots could be this cool with such great people.

To be honest, I'm not really a spa type of guy-- although I have bought gift certificates before--which will be for your place from now on without question-- you may see me taking you up on your 'come back anytime' invitation."
